Where to turn for help

"If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."
- Sir Isaac Newton

To me, this quote sums up my profession. The only reason we're able to make great progress in software engineering is because our predecessors achieved great things and documented their results. I mention this here, because topics such as HTTPS configuration can be incredibly difficult to perform on your own. Fortunately, you can perform a quick search on Google and get the correct answer more often than not.

In situations where Google can't help, you may want to work your way over to Stack Overflow ( http://stackoverflow.com ). It's a great community for asking and answering questions.

I love software development, but configuring servers and certificates isn't my favorite aspect of it. Accordingly, much of what's documented in this section has come from reading articles on the web. To credit this, I'll include my favorite links in the summary of this article.
